Mike and Eve

My name’s Mike Newman. This is Eve, and we’ve known Peter for 12 years now.

Working with Deep Dive, reliable is the word that comes to mind. Having worked for nearly 50 years, we got to a point where for us, the grandchildren had come along. They were in London, and we had a conversation when we were away on a holiday about the quality of life we were after. So, we thought we’d downsize and move to London and then try and make use of the finances we’d accumulated to generate some money for us to go off and indulge ourselves.

Our investment advice has been driven by our sentiment of ‘here’s a lump of money, how do we make it work for us as well as it possibly can?’ Mike would make more decisions than I would and I would want to be much more careful about things. Peter understands that totally, goes along with it, and advises knowing how we both feel, and he’s been great.

The latest thing he’s done with Deep Dive is recognise that there is a cost to all these things when people are having their money looked after and he actively works on trying to minimise that wherever he possibly can and that’s reassuring.

With Peter having been in business for a long time, when it came to finding somebody who was looking after our money, we wanted somebody who A, knew what they were talking about, but B, that we felt we could trust.

I recommended him to a friend of mine whose husband had died, and for 10 years he’s been advising her and guiding her. And I’ve recommended him to one of my neighbours as well, who’s been in touch with him. So, yeah, we’d have no hesitation in recommending Peter.
